#Moonwalk 2012 LBP team 'The Bobby Sirens' are #WalkingtheWalk once more

The Bobby SirensLast year the LBP team ‘The Sirens’ raised a grand total of £3,937, an amazing amount, which has gone towards projects that make a huge difference to the lives of breast cancer patients, such as the creation of a second Maggie’s centre in Glasgow’s Gartnavel General Hospital.

This year some of the intrepid girls from LBP press office (and two of our officers, does Grant know what he is letting himself in for?) have swapped their usual Saturday night high-heels and champers for trainers and sweatpants to walk across Edinburgh in the pitch black and (probably) freezing temperatures next weekend as part of the police Moonwalk team – The Bobby Sirens.

This is the busy fundraising time of the year, however if you can spare a small amount of money to sponsor us it will really spur us on, especially since it’s going to such a good cause…

Walk the Walk looks at various projects and campaigns that are involved with breast cancer and grants funds to where they know will make the most difference. It is their policy to look at projects that perhaps would not easily find funding, supports research not only into the causes of breast cancer but also to improve treatment. They also fund emotional and physical support to those who have cancer now.
